Screen and Display

• The display offers a 2556 x 1179 pixel resolution with 460 ppi (pixels per inch).
• Brightness takes a leap towards the sun at 1,000 nits max brightness; up from 800 nits in previous models. The iPhone 14 Pro’s screen is also 2 brighter in the sun.
• The edges of the screen have been rounded again, which is a change from the flattened and sharpened corners that have been present in most iPhones of late.
• The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass for stronger protection against drops. It is also protected even further with a feature called Ceramic Shield which is infused with nano-ceramic crystals and makes iPhone screens the toughest ones on the market.
• The Face ID notch at the top is much smaller and less noticeable.
• The iPhone 14 Pro also has True Tone with high resolution colour accuracy, as well as excellent contrast between colours.
• The screen is a 6.1-inch screen with Super Retina XDR and all-screen OLED display, with a 21% increase in screen coverage.
• The contrast ratio has also been upgraded and doubled to 2,000,000:1.
• A feature called Dynamic Island is a new way of engineering the much-debated selfie camera circle that remains at the top of your screen. Instead of getting rid of it like some iPhone lovers thought they would, Apple has turned it into a usable feature for your music, sport scores, weather, Face ID, alarm clock and more. It’s almost like a little bubble of information on your screen without needing to unlock it.
• Your Lock Screen now remains slightly brightened so that you don’t have to tap your phone to see the time or any other widget you may have selected on your phone.
