Each new chipset created by Apple finds a way to blow our minds with the innovation and improvements in technology. The A16 Bionic chip, which is the same chip that’s in the iPhone 13 Pro, includes a 6-core CPU with 2 performance cores and 4 for efficiency. It also has a 5-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine. Imagine completing 17 trillion tasks per second? Well, the A16 Bionic can do that, which is an increase from 15.8 trillion in the iPhone 13.
The A16 chip includes the Secure Enclave which protects data like your Face ID and contacts. The chip is powered by 16 billion transistors which powers the iPhone 14 Pro every second of the day. This is up from 11.4 billion in the iPhone 12, making the iPhone 14 Pro Max the fastest and smartest iPhone ever. The chip also has an image signal processor for performing background tasks that you wouldn’t even know is happening such as reducing photo noise.
